Valpak’s relationship with Hull based metal reprocessor, John Brocklesby Limited, is a great example of how these mutually beneficial relationships enable Valpak’s customers to realise the benefits of this local recycling infrastructure.
John Brocklesby Limited has worked with Valpak on the delivery of its civic amenity site contract with FCC Environmental since 2015. Whilst the company’s fully licenced ATTF facility gave Valpak the confidence it needed to partner John Brocklesby, it was the outstanding service levels and commitment to innovation that really made them stand out from the crowd. This investment included a dedicated small WEEE shredding facility, meaning more valuable secondary resources can now be recovered on site. This is important as more value and employment opportunities can be generated in the local area WEEE does not need to be transported long distances. The new line means most Small WEEE material can now be processed on site reducing haulage costs and emissions.
